After not traveling for a year, Liza and her 4-year-old son spent a “blissful” week at Wyndham Reef Resort on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, in early 2022.

“The resort was incredible!” says Liza, who booked a Getaway for just two since her husband, a pilot, couldn’t join them. “Right on the ocean and we had a huge two-bedroom for just us two.”

Mother and son bonded as they built sandcastles, snorkeled, swam, and even ate crocodile — breaded and golden fried. They also visited a turtle farm.

“I loved EVERYTHING,” Liza’s son says.

“It was amazing,” Liza says. “From the first moment we arrived, we enjoyed ourselves. The highlight of our trip was the catamaran cruise to swim with stingrays.”
